Guest book

Here is an E-mail sent to Andre by Matt Hancock.

"I read in an official magazine of some "cuts" from Sonic the Hedgehog.

One
At the end of an act, if you pressed jump, Sonic would jump in the air.

Two
In the UK there were Sega advertisements for the game featuring Marble Zone with UFOs in the sky. These were in the pre-production game and never made it.

Three
The big ball that Robotnik uses at the end of Green Hill Zone was originally a hazard encountered during the level.

Four
According to a US magazine, the first run of Sonic the Hedgehog cartridges had debug mode put in. When Sega found out, they removed it."

Is it for real?

Well, point number two is correct as other people have E-mailed me pointing out the same thing. To find out if point one and three are correct, you only need to look at this picture above. (Thanks to James Herriott for sending it to me.) According to James, the picture was taken from the official UK Sega Magazine (later changed their name to Sega Saturn Magazine - sadly, they do not exist anymore).
