  • Congratualations to Chaos! He was our proud 80,000th visitor.

  • I was thinking about starting up a Sonic the Hedgehog map archive. Basically, we will follow the approach that “Nintendo Power” did it it’s magazine issues, except we will use an emulator and a PC photo editing software to yield a higher-grade map. If you are interested in working on this project, email Andy for more information. This project will be a first and odd are, we will need a small number of people to make this a reality.

  • Could visitor number 80,000 please email me a screenshot proving that you are visitor number 80,000?
    Thanks.

  • About a month ago, I found a site with some pretty interesting desktop enhancement tools. However, I didn't really say anything about it because usually somebody else has already found and told the Sonic community. However, it seems that nobody seems to even know of these programs. So I thought it would be nice to post it finally. I introduce to you -- Teddy, and TClock. You can find them here. You can download Sonic additions for these two programs as well as shown on the site.

  • I couldn't help but notice the many people who ask me WHY I nicknamed myself 'Saxman'. Well, although it is also the nickname my dad uses a lot on some things on his computer, the main reason I kept it for myself (besides the name 'Rocket') is simple. Download this and you should get the answer.

  • Finals are just about over for me, so I will now once again begin accept hosting requests. However, I do have a backlog of like 100 email messages, so please don’t panic if I don’t get back to you ASAP!

For those inquiring hosting on SSRG, I will be creating a separate page outlining the specifics of what kind of sites we will host.

If you are interested in getting the 'Zone to host your site and would like further information, visit the Joining and Hosting of the site.

  • We rated with RSACi! For those with web browsers in which your parents have disabled all "unrated" website, rejoice! SSRG has been registered with ICRA (iRSAC), which basically mean that none of the sections on SSRG relate to porno. :-)

  • Take a look at this. Sonic Team has released the first ever Sonic Adventure 2 screen shots!

  • I just got email from a secretary for the bleem! team stating that they are indeed going to be releasing a Playstation emulator for the Dreamcast. I will post it on WEMU later on tonight.

    (5-7-2000)
  • The popular PSX emulator, 'Bleem!', is comming to Dreamcast! This will be at the E3 show comming up. Now to wait and see how ticked off Sony gets afterwards. More info on this soon...

  • I'm thinking once again about having some SSRG t-shirts made. The t-shirt will most likely be based on this design. If you are interested, leave Andy an email message. If I get enough support, I will get them made after finals.

  • Sorry, do NOT update the SSRG section links with "/sections/" as this was all a misunderstanding. Also, I appologize to all the staff members for this mess. It is all fixed now though.

  • The return on Simon's website?

Well, sorta. Pelord informed me that he has a copy of most of Simon Wai's old website on a floppy disk. After some consideration, I have decided to let Pelord post what he has left of Simon's old website on SSRG. After all, I have always have been a supporter of preserving interesting Sonic sites in the past. (Hence, which is why his page was on SSRG in the first place: I wanted to make sure he not only got credit for finding the Sonic 2 Beta first, but also because I wanted to make sure his site would never disappear.)

If Simon comes back, we will pass control of what we have back to Simon. In the mean time, you can visit what he has by clicking here. If you happen to have images and/or pages from Simon's original site that Pelord does not, please be sure to email Pelord.
