I had the idea about recording an SSRG theme song that would be based off of the Brady Bunch theme for some time, but never got around it. Tristan was slated to make a documentary about EmulationZone.org on its fifth anniversary, so I figured it would be a golden opportunity to add the theme song in the production. So, right before my planned retirement from SSRG in late August 2001, I decided to make it a reality. I rewrote the lyrics from the Brady Bunch to talk about how SSRG was formed rather than how the Brady Bunch came to be. I was a challenege to create new lyrics that followed the beat of the original, but I managed to accomplish the feat. I later convinced Johnny Walback to sing some parts for the final production. It was a challenge because I am located in the US and Johnny located overseas in the UK, but I we managed to mix things to perfection for the final production. Below is the final production of the theme song, along with its lyrics. Enjoy! |
