Sonic 2 Beta Pictures!! Yet more Beta

for taking these screenshots. Hidden Palace Zone Yes, you've all seen Hidden Palace before, but I have even more pictures and an explanation of what the level select picture means. Firstly, the music for the Zone is NOT Sonic 2 Sound Test #10 (even though everyone says it is). The music is really Sound Test #3! This tune is also used in the split-screen Mystic Cave Zone in the real Sonic 2. Strangely, the music from the version of Hidden Palace that you get when you use the Action Replay Code is Sound Test #10. Another interesting fact is that on the Hidden Palace shown below, when you get 100 rings, the music changes to that of Death Egg Zone from Sonic 2.

It's actually quite strange that the extra life box (above) has a picture of Tails on it. |
Another interesting thing about this zone is that you can walk up steep cliffs. This does not work in the ROM version for some reason. Well, anyway it's very cool indeed! |
